PAWS is celebrating World Animal Day on the 4th October!

Saturday, October 4th, 2008

Thanks to Dirk Drijbooms offering the use of the Apothiki Center in Parikia, PAWS is going ahead with its annual fundraising event which will take place on Saturday October 4th 19:30 – 22:30
So please mark your calendars and come along to shop valuable products offered by generous members of our community at bargain prices; and eventually to show your support for the welfare of animals of Paros!

There will also be a slideshow with pictures of many of the animals that have been re-homed through the efforts of PAWS and a “finger food” buffet. Tickets for the event will cost 15 euro each.

PAWS would also like to say a special “thank you” to all those businesses that have been willing to take a collection tin this summer and, of course, to everyone who has made contributions to the Society in this way. Details on money gathered from the PAWS tins are available at: www.paws.gr. Your assistance and generosity is much appreciated.

Aliti on the road

Aliti became Zen

Aliti became Zen

Alitis, or Sir Toby, as another friend called him, had been living on the streets of Paroikia for around 4 years. Not so long ago, he decided to run after a group of Quads that drove through his territory in Livadia and never stopped running till way out of town, almost in Punda, when Ilan decided to let him hop on. ever since, they have been inseparable. With his serenity and impeccable behaviour, Aliti soon earned the name ‘Zen’. He has now a passport and will soon travel to his new home. Farewell, we are happy with you!
