Barbara was called by an English visior who reported that 3 dogs had shown up at her sons home. She had gone around to ask all the neighbours whether they knew the dogs. Barbara went to pick up the little family, consisting of the mother and her 2 pups, about 4 months old. Has anybody seen these dogs before?

Yesterday, Biggie was called to the Marble Quarries about a young stray dog. Unfortunately, the dog had disappeared. She went back in the afternoon, still no dog around. But she could hear a little animal crying and started to look around for the source of the noise. Soon she found a plastic bag in a bush tied shut. In it, she found two kittens, one already dead. Today she went back and was finally able, with the help of the man who had reported it, to get the dog as well.

On Wednesday, 17 September, around 20 dogs and a cat from Paros, Mykonos and Santorini flew to their families in Germany. Photo 1 shows the departure of 3 of them from Paros, thanks to Lisa and Christina.
The next photo shows a family from Munich with a small infant who transported empty boxes for us on the way from Munich to Santorini and on their way back did not hesitate and helped 2 small dogs and 3 large ones (!) to fly to their happy future! Thank you very much Tanja, Sylvio and little Timo for your help!
Quick one (Dalli Dali…)!

A family from Germany met Barbara by chance and when asked, if they could transport a rehomed pup to Germany, agreed spontaneously, even though they were leaving the island only hours later.

Barbara had to move fast to get everything organized so quickly. The first photo shows the family who took care of the puppy in Paros and his travel companions can be seen on the second picture. Farewell little Dali!

Friday, September 12th, 2008Poodle found in Livadia
Friday, September 12th, 2008PAWS was called by the Top Shop in Livadia, a little dog, probably a Poodle, had appeared there and should be picked up by PAWS. When Nicolas brought the dog to Barbara, she had a good laugh and named the pup PUDL. The puppy is 4 months old and very, very lively. It was wearing a collar AND a lead. Who has lost it?
Garbage Kitten
Friday, September 12th, 2008Barbara saw a friendly looking Garbage Man and gave him her phone number, so he could call her, in case he should find any live animals in or next to the Garbage. The next day he called her, had seen a little blind kitten in a bin. Barbara went to pick it up. It was a friendly little thing with horrible eyes. Everybody loves it and it is being treated. Sometimes we can be hard and decide to put a sick little animal down, but there are times when we just cannot.
