Barbara and Biggie, are they out of their minds or on the verge of a nervous breakdown?? How can they possibly laugh after finding another TWELVE puppies near Agios Arsenios… We need support from as many people as possible to help us stop this madness.

Not only Dogs

seagull.jpg seagull1.jpg How is it that some people always stumble over animals who need help? When Biggie went for a walk on the beach yesterday, she found a wounded seagull. It was brought to Alkioni. Good luck, Seagull!

marchpups.jpg The little garbage puppies from last week have to be fed 4 times a day. They get a mix of blended cooked chicken meat, rice, vitamins, calcium & milk powder. Soon to follow: individual pictures of the little puppies.

More Garbage

When Barbara went to throw some garbage near her house in the disposal in front of the church of Agios Arsenios, she found 7 puppies cuddling up behind the containers. They are about 4 weeks old and just old enough to eat solid food. Barbara and Biggie are considering to RESIGN or going on STRIKE as they are overwhelmed with the number of puppies and dogs they are currently taking care of. This workload is too much for the 2 of them.

Luckypup!!!

luckypup-14032008-18-09-36.jpg Do you remember Luckypup, the little newborn puppy that was found in the same bin (in the riverbed close to the supermarket of Chariklia) as the puppies below??? Here she is, living in Germany, looking soooo different. But still, when Biggie met her, she immediately regognized her foster mother and responded to her voice. Lucky was gambling a second time for life and death in Germany, after she was hit by a car, but again she made it. We wish you good luck for a long and happy life, little Luckypup!

Garbage

Do the little creatures in the photograph look like garbage to you? Or should we consider the person who dumped them in a garbage bin as thrash? Luckily, a young woman who is a teacher at the local high school,  found the bag with the puppies in the bin. We hope that she will contribute to a better future by teaching the pupils more humane ways of treating animals.

Four Seasons

kalami.jpg Is there actually a season when no small puppies can be found abandonned somewhere? Not really… When G and E from Kalami went to walk their own dog, they found these 3 puppies hiding under a bush. When they saw the Vet, he told them that the only ones able to help were Barbara and Biggie – so the pups were brought here. Has anybody seen the 3 little female puppies before or could give us some information as to where they come from?
